OPPORTUNITIES

ReadWest also needs volunteers for other services besides teaching. If you can donate a service to our organization we would greatly appreciate it. Services such as:

   Tutoring
    Cleaning
    Organizing
    Baby-sitting
    Event planning
    Event service
    Gardening
    Desk-top publishing
    Phone calls
    Clerical assistance
    Meeting facilitation
    Interpretation of many
       languages, both written
       and spoken
    Community resource
       coordination

Books are always needed. At any reading level students need to practice reading and enjoy easy books and more difficult books. Books can be textbooks, fiction (with decency), user manuals, classic literature or cookbooks.

As a nonprofit, tax-exempt, 501 (c) (3), charitable organization
we rely heavily on monetary donations.

The cost to train and support a tutor is close to $150.

The cost to provide instruction to a student is close to $250.
