ESL Tutor Training

During training the NMCL trainer will have each potential tutor learn and demonstrate the following:

  • the first day of class with their student
  • lesson planning
  • recognize learning styles
  • how to approach a low literacy adult learner
  • review tracking progress and monthly reporting

 

Once training is complete, the tutor will receive a certificate of completion and a library card to the ReadWest resource library. Soon after training each tutor will be paired with a one-on-one adult learner.

Lunch is on your own.
