In 2016, we came to the United States as a family. My parents, my two brother, two sisters and myself decided to leave Afghanistan because of unsafe living conditions, and limited educational opportunities.
My parents, my sister, one of my brothers and myself have been coming to ReadWest since 2017. Three of my siblings started college recently and are attending UNM now.
In 2022, we all received our Citizenship. We were lucky enough to have the help of ReadWest tutors to prepare for the test. As Americans, we feel at ease to know that we are safe and looking forward to the future.
