Hello everybody. My name is Esmeralda. I am from Guatemala, Central America. When I was young my dream was to live in the United States. I came to the USA many times between 1960-1082. I like to travel, I know all Central America, Mexico and the United States.
I have lived here in the USA from 1982, but never went to learn English because I had to work very hard. I have four sons and six grand-kids. I am very proud, because they are very good persons.
First, I lived in California and worked for one family as a nanny for two boys. That was easy for me because I was a teacher in my country.
Then I worked for the Vice President of Disney about eleven years, I took care of four girls. After that I worked for movie producers till year 2000. I went to live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, there I worked for two engineers of NASA and other very nice people.
I feel lucky because every body was nice with me. Now I don’t work any more and I want to learn more English. My hobby is reading books especially true stories. When I went to the library, I saw the sign from
Read West. As soon as I return to my house I called and Elsa answered and I am here.
